The federal government will tomorrow flag off the presidential pardon of cleared inmates as part of its decongestion of the custodial Centres.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval to the proposal by the minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to decongest crowded custodial centres nationwide, as part of measure to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
This information was contained in an invitation to a special press briefing by the minister to flag off the exercise tomorrow at the National Headquarters of the Nigeria Correctional Service ( NCoS) signed by the Service spokesman, DCC A. C Njoku.
The minister, according to the invite will also lead a delegation to the Kuje maximum custodial centre to flag off the exercise.
