Coronavirus: Church Sues For Calm, Safety Measure

As social and economic damage from Coronavirus (COVID-19) increases, the  leadership of LCCN Churches World Wide, has sued for calm and safety measures to curb the epidemic.Most Rev, Musa Panti Filibus, the President of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) in Murgarang, Demsa said, it is high time  to show more love and fervent prayers for normalcy in the land.The  global challenge of the Coronavirus need concerted efforts from stakeholders to stem the tide of the deadly virus on rampage.Filibus assured that, the church is ready to partner with governments and  leaders of the churches in various countries at all the time for collaborative synergy against the menace.“We continue advising that faithfuls should follow instructions from the public health structures of your countries.He said “in times like this we need to stand together with one another, for we need each other most, adding shutting business and public places is not going to be easy but it is not also going to be beyond God.”The Archbishop calls on members to take seriously personal hygiene practices, including hand washing, minimizing handshakes, sneezing unto others, in order that people will stay safe.He prayed that the world will soon see the end of the endemic.“We all must trust in God and be firm in faith at all times even in the face of death.”Rev Dr Martin Junge, the General Secretary of the LWF urged community around the world to confront the spread of the COVID-19 with love for one another. .Junge said  is  time to continue trusting in God’s compassionate presence among humankind.“We take courage in the knowledge that God never abandons us, even if it means going through the experience of the cross,” Junge added.
